Terms of Use

By accessing or using Sepal Solver, the CypherCrescent learning platform (including documentation, examples, and the code runner), websites, or any related materials (collectively, the “Services”), you agree to these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

If you use the Services on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization, and “you” includes that organization.

Sepal Solver is a C# mathematics and numerical methods library, accompanied by curriculum content, runnable examples, and engineering-focused documentation published by CypherCrescent.

• Access to proprietary library binaries may require a separate commercial license (see Licensing).
• The learning platform may allow you to read content, edit example code, and execute snippets on our infrastructure subject to fair-use limits.
• Features, examples, and availability may change as we improve the product.

Some features may require an account, redeem code, or organization-issued credentials. You are responsible for:

• Keeping login credentials confidential
• All activity under your account
• Providing accurate registration information and keeping it current

We may suspend or terminate access if we reasonably believe these Terms have been violated, or to protect the Services or other users.

You agree not to:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from proprietary Sepal Solver binaries except where applicable law expressly permits
• Abuse the code runner (including excessive automated requests, cryptomining, malware distribution, or attacks on our systems)
• Circumvent access controls, rate limits, or license enforcement
• Scrape, copy, or redistribute curriculum content at scale without permission
• Use the Services for unlawful purposes or in violation of export, sanctions, or third-party rights
• Interfere with other users’ enjoyment of the Services

CypherCrescent and its licensors own all right, title, and interest in Sepal Solver, the platform UI, documentation, trademarks (including CypherCrescent and Sepal Solver), and related materials, except for content you submit.

You retain ownership of code and content you author. By submitting content to the Services (for example, edited examples), you grant CypherCrescent a worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, run, and display that content as needed to operate the Services.

The Services may reference or integrate with third-party tools (for example .NET, Visual Studio, or VS Code). Those products are governed by their own terms. Links to external sites are provided for convenience; we are not responsible for third-party content or practices.

THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CYPHERCRESCENT DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

Numerical software can produce incorrect results if misused or if inputs are unsuitable. You are solely responsible for validating results before relying on them in engineering, scientific, or commercial decisions.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CYPHERCRESCENT AND ITS AFFILIATES WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICES.

OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICES WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICES IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED US DOLLARS (US $100), EXCEPT WHERE LIABILITY CANNOT BE LIMITED UNDER APPLICABLE LAW.

You will defend and indemnify CypherCrescent against claims, damages, and expenses arising from your misuse of the Services, your content, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be indicated by updating the “Updated” date on this page. Continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Nigeria, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, unless a mandatory local consumer protection law applies. Courts in Nigeria will have exclusive jurisdiction, except that CypherCrescent may seek injunctive relief in any jurisdiction to protect its intellectual property.
